Beautiful Eyes

By Sandra M. Thomas

The sun is brightly shinning and the sky is the bluest I have ever seen the day I looked into your eyes. I will not forget this day because on this day An Angel found me.
When I look into your eyes I am reminded of the blessings we have in our lives Looking in your eyes reminds me of peace and tranquility. It's like being in another world. A world that is full of smiles. There is no one that is unhappy here. It's like an awakening into the unexplored.
I am engrossed by looking at the enticing way that your eye flickers. I sense deep inside an aura that challenges a desire within my soul. Your beautiful eyes have cast solace on my soul. When I look into your eyes, your eyes reflect to me that our souls are joined for eternity.

Restrained
By Sandra M. Thomas

Is our love restrained?
Why do I feel the pain?
Do you need some time on your own?
Or do you want to be alone?
All I ask is for you to be true
Especially after all we been though
I can not read your mind
That is a waste of time
I can feel you way deep down in my soul
But I must take control
Waking up next to you is all I want to do
Then there are times when I want nothing to do with you
The perfect one never exists
All I miss is your kiss
I feel like I'm floating
When I should be noting
That you are changing inside
I just hope  I don't lose my pride
Lord knows how much I cried
I was empty inside
Then I realized
that I have you by my side
Love can not be denied
So if you are restrained
Our love will be drained

Why is it complicated?
By Sandra M. Thomas

The answer may shock you

If you are walking around blue

There is only one thing to do

Change your thought process

So that you can begin to progress

Look for clues

So that you can choose

To excuse

Anything that is bad news

Kiss
By Sandra M. Thomas

A kiss is something that consists
Of feelings that persists
Anticipation and delight
Makes a kiss feel so right
When shared by two
Desires become true
Strong emotions began to form
As our bodies become warm
Releasing passion through a kiss
Is something that I will always miss.

An Inspirational Poem for Mother's Day
By: Nicola Kennedy
If you are looking for an inspirational poem that shows an understanding of what a mom has to deal with, this is the one.  Every mom, young or old, knows this by heart and can only hope that her children will understand when they grow up.

"You don't love me!" How many times have your kids laid that one on you? And how many times have you, as a parent, resisted the urge to tell them how much? Someday, when my children are old enough to understand the logic that motivates a mother, I will tell them.

A MOTHER'S LOVE GOES DEEP

I loved you enough to insist you buy a bike with your own money that we could afford and you couldn't.
I loved you enough to be silent and let you discover your handpicked friend was a creep;
I loved you enough to stand over you for two hours while you cleaned your bedroom, a job that would have taken me fifteen minutes.
I loved you enough to say, "Yes, you may go to Disney World on Mother's Day."
I loved you enough to let you see anger, disappointment, mistrust and tears in my eyes.
I loved you enough not to make excuses for your lack of respect or you bad manners.
I loved you enough to admit that I was wrong and ask your forgiveness.
I loved you enough to ignore "what every other mother" did or said.
I loved you enough to let you stumble, fall, hurt and fail.
I loved you enough to let you assume the responsibility for your own actions, at 6, 10, and 16.
I loved you enough to figure you would lie about the party being chaperoned but forgave you for it after discovering I was right.
I loved you enough to shove you off my lap, let go of your hand, be mute to your pleas and insensitive to your demands...so that you had to stand alone.
I loved you enough to accept you for what you are, not what I wanted you to be.

But most of all, I loved you enough to say "no" when you hated me for it.

THAT WAS THE HARDEST PART OF ALL.
